Can the shower rail be shortened?
Our shower rails cannot be shortened. However, we offer shower rails in the Euphoria and Rainshower SmartActive series that are flexible and can be adjusted to existing drill holes.
I would like to reuse my existing drill holes. Which rail offers flexibility?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any appropriate products in the Tempesta series. You would have to switch to the Euphoria or Rainshower series instead.

How far apart should the drill holes be for the shower rail?

The drill holes should be spaced at 620 mm (for the 600 shower rail) or 920 mm (for the 900 shower rail).

The distance between drill holes is between 470 and 620 mm. The upper shower rail bracket is flexible and can be adjusted to existing drill holes or joint dimensions.

How far apart should the drill holes be for the wall shower bracket?

Drill holes for the fixed bracket should be spaced at 23 mm apart horizontally. In sets with adjustable wall shower brackets, the distance between drill holes is 22 mm vertically.

How do I adjust the slider?
There is a screw handle on the slider. Loosen this to adjust the height. To adjust the angle of inclination, hang the hand shower with the conical screw connection from the shower hose in the holder. Move the hand shower down and forwards, or up and back, depending upon the direction in which you wish to adjust the angle. Continuous angle adjustment is possible.
My hand shower is not sitting properly in the bracket. What am I doing wrong?
Please check whether the shower hose has been installed correctly. The conical screw connection must point to the hand shower. This is hooked into the holder. The conical shape makes this sit in the bracket in a stable position.
Can I install the bracket so it’s to the left instead of the right?
Yes, that is possible.

What material is the hand shower made of?
Most hand showers are made from plastic, regardless of their manufacturer. Metal hand showers are very heavy. If the hand shower were to fall out of your hand accidentally, damage to your shower tray, tiles or shower screen would be inevitable. We offer two metal rod hand showers: the Euphoria Cube+ and the Sena.
How do I clean the hand shower?
We recommend cleaning the hand shower using our GrohClean cleaning agent. Limescale should also be regularly removed from SpeedClean nodules on the hand shower’s spray plate. You can do this simply by wiping them with your fingers.
How do I adjust the angle of my hand shower and how far can this be adjusted?
Please hang the hand shower with the conical screw connection from the shower hose in the holder. Move the hand shower down and forwards, or up and back, depending upon the direction in which you wish to adjust the angle. Continuous angle adjustment is possible.
The shape of the hand shower isn’t curved enough for me. What’s the solution?
We offer a 45° angle bracket which is screwed between the hand shower and hose. This brass angle bracket can be purchased with item no. 28389000.
Are adjustable wall shower brackets also available?
We supply the adjustable wall shower bracket 28623000 (round design) and 27055000 (round and angular design).
How do I seal the drill holes in the shower?
Ideally you should get in touch with your tiling specialist to find out the specific sealant to use in line with DIN standards.
What is meant by the term “head of water”?
This is the distance from the bottom of your cold water tank to where your appliance is i.e. shower
What is meant by the term “Hard Water”?
Hard water is water that has a high concentration of dissolved minerals i.e calcuim and this can cause the pipe work to fur up and can lead to blockages in our products.
Will my GROHE product work with “Hard Water”?
Yes, GROHE products are life tested at our plant in the Black Forest in Germany, which has the hardest water in Europe. We still recommend general maintenace is carried out annually to ensure the performance of your product is maintained e.g. clean accessible filters.
How can Limescale be prevented from forming?
There are two ways to reduce the amount of limscale forming. You can fit a water softerner or a water conditioner.
What is a Gravity fed system?
Historically, the most common installation in the UK and is identified by the use of a cold storage tank normally in the loft space. Some taps may have gravity fed hot and mains cold, which is common in the kitchen.
What is a Pumped system?
This is a gravity system with the addition of a booster pump to increase flow and pressure to taps, baths and showers. The larger the pump the greater the flow rate.
Shower hoses:
What is the difference between the Relexaflex, Rotaflex and Silverflex shower hoses?
The Relexaflex shower hose is rather greyish compared to the actual hose. Both screw connections are fixed. The Rotaflex shower hose is identical in terms of colour. The conical screw connection can be rotated and provides anti-twist protection. The Silverflex shower hose is similar to the Rotaflex except the colour of the hose is silver.
Why do I need a screw cone?
The screw cone offers anti-twist protection for the shower hose.
How long should the shower hose be?
The required length of the shower hose depends on where it is being used, the height of the user and the specifications of the location. Nowadays, shower hoses in showers are often 1.75 m long. In the bathtub, if this is primarily used for baths, a 1.25 m shower hose is usually used.
My bathtub tap is installed too low and it seems like the hose is at risk of bending. What can I do?
For this purpose, we offer a 90° angle bracket which is screwed to the tap’s shower connection nipple. This metal bracket can be purchased with item no. 45304000.
My new plastic shower hose is still slightly rigid and won’t get into shape. What can I do?
Please fill the shower hose with water and leave it hanging in the shower or bath. The shower hose will get into shape itself after just a few days.

My hot and cold water connections are the wrong way round. What can I do?

We offer a thermostatic cartridge as a special accessory for connections that are the wrong way round to solve this problem. This replaces the existing thermostatic cartridge. The required thermostatic cartridge for connections that are the wrong way round can be obtained with item no. 47175000.
I can only run the new tap completely hot or cold. I can never get a proper mix. What’s going on?

The hot and cold water connections of your house connections are the wrong way round. Hot water should be left and cold water should be right. We offer a thermostatic cartridge as a special accessory to solve this problem. This replaces the existing thermostatic cartridge. The required thermostatic cartridge for connections that are the wrong way round can be obtained with item no. 47175000.
I’m interested in a shower system. For structural reasons (e.g. sloping ceilings), shower systems don’t fit with the tap. What solutions are available?

We offer shorter and longer shower pipes as special accessories for most shower systems. Shower systems with diverters are also available from the series Rainshower (item no. 27058000), Euphoria (item no. 27421002) and Euphoria Cube (item no. 27696000), which are installed alongside the tap. The shower system is connected to the tap by a shower hose.
Is the shower system suitable for flow heaters?

Use with flow heaters is possible. They must have a minimum performance of 18 kW.
I have a new shower system and the hot water is generated using a flow heater. After a short while, the water from the tap suddenly turns cold. What is the problem?

In this case, you usually need to change the settings on your flow heater. This has “problems” with the water volume in your shower system. Changing the flow settings in your flow heater will remedy the issue.
Is there a solution for the bathtub?
